This application would be used for retrofitting during major home renovations and the system works well in basements. The floor covering will have to be removed to install this product.
This product works great for home remodel applications because it is only 3/4" thick. You do not sacrifice a major amount of ceiling height if you already have a low ceiling.
This product cannot be used anywhere where there will be large amounts of weight placed on the flooring.
